The Cadillac SRX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV that was produced by General Motors under the Cadillac brand from 2004 to 2016. Initially built on a rear-wheel-drive platform shared with the CTS sedan, the first-generation SRX offered a choice of V6 or V8 engines and optional third-row seating, giving it a balance of performance and utility. In 2010, Cadillac redesigned the SRX for its second generation, shifting it to a front-wheel-drive platform to improve fuel economy and appeal to a broader market. The new model featured a more compact design, a standard V6 engine, and upscale interior materials with advanced tech features, including Cadillac's CUE infotainment system.

Throughout its production run, the SRX was praised for its stylish design, smooth ride, and strong safety ratings. It competed with other luxury crossovers like the Lexus RX and Acura MDX, aiming to deliver a premium driving experience with the versatility of an SUV. Cadillac continually updated the SRX with new tech and safety enhancements to stay competitive, including features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a panoramic sunroof. The SRX was eventually discontinued after the 2016 model year and replaced by the Cadillac XT5, which carried forward its luxury crossover legacy with a more modern platform and design.
